At the end of June the Climate and Energy Fund in Austria will be launching its 2010 PV Grant Aid Scheme, providing funding to private photovoltaic energy plants with outputs up to a maximum of 5 kWp.

A total of 35 million Euros in grant aid is available – almost twice as much as in 2009.

To meet the expected high demand, the Climate and Energy Fund has optimized the application procedure and upgraded its technical systems. Applications will be dealt with solely online, based on the principle of "first-come-first-served". This means grants will be awarded according to when applications are submitted in each federal state.
